another radiator question
had a little problem with truck wantin to run a little hot. 3 core radiator. just finished running prestone cleaner through it. seem to help quite a bit. it has 1 16 inch fan on it electric. sittin in traffic it will keep creepin up. so far i have let it get 210 and shut it off. i know i need a shroud, but do you think the 1 fan is enough?i also went and bought another bottom hose as the old one didnt look to healthy. i asked the guy behind the parts counter if they had one with the spring in it. he said they dont do that anymore and the only reason the factory done it then was to pull vacuum on the cooling system.i have worked on cars and trucks since i was old enough to hold a tool. first time i had heard that one. so what you guys runnin? thanks in advance

Re: another radiator question
I'm running a 3 row radiator, stock shroud and a nylon flex fan. Runs at 190* stuck in traffic on the freeway.

Re: another radiator question
The places I have bought lower radiatior hoses in the last few years have not had the coiled wire inside.
If you want to run one that has a wire built into it you could run a flexible hose. Quite a few people on here run 16" electric fans, but they are mounted on the engine side of the shroud.

Re: another radiator question
I was running dual fans on a 4 core for my 383...we'll see how it cools the LSx.

Re: another radiator question
2 row aluminum rad here with stock fan mounted to water pump. was stuckin traffic today in hot weather. Never went above 190. I have a 180 degree t-stat in the 350 that pumps out over 400 hp.
You might need to have the radiator rodded out or have a new core put in. Or a new radiator.. Gary
