NP205 swap ?

The friend I sold my 70 blazer to is swapping out the spicer 20 t-case with a np205 out of a 72 chevy. He said it is too tall. Do you need to replace the crossmember as well as the hump in the floor or just the crossmember. Please help?

The hump is the same except for the shifter hole. IIRC, it is behind the hump where it hits the floor pan anyway. Trucks with a 205 used a crossmember with an inch or so more drop. The 205 is very close to the floor pan when installed, even with the correct cross member.
