Re: drop spindle HELP!!

AIM = Chassis Tech = AirBagIt.com. Search the forums here and/or Google the name. Not worth the savings IMO.

Western Chassis makes 3" drop spindles for 73-87 C20's , 30's, & 3500's. Very high quality parts. I'm not sure of other dealers but here is where I've purchased them from www.sporttruckdirect.com.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

AIM has a bad reputation. Some will say they have used those spindles no problems, and some say they are junk.
Do some research before you buy. Google AIM Industries, airbagit.com, and Chassis Tech. Then decide if you are willing to take the chance....

Re: drop spindle HELP!!

You are getting good advice here to stay away from Aim/ChassisTech/Airbagit.com.
(Wonder why they change their name all the time?)

Good luck with your purchase if you decide to buy from them.
I wouldn't go cheap on drop spindles.
They control the front wheels and steering.
Stick with a name brand.
Nothing else to say.
(this is just my opinion,... of course)

I personally have used AIM spindles before & didn't have problems. That being said, I would pay double for a WC/Bell Tech/DJM spindle before buying from them again. If you can get them from a vendor/distributor that will be your 'service rep', you might be ok.... might be.

From what I've seen/read, w/73-87's, there are C10 spindles & C20/C30 spindles. Since they're typically grouped that way, I would say the C20 & larger trucks share a common HD spindle.

Again, the best way to know 100% is to ask the supplier.
