Re: Got A New Rig Time to Restore/Mod 78swb
if the beds that bad and your not too sure about how to go about fixing it you could always search craigslist... seen a fleetside on there yesterday for $200. and as for the door hinge i'd just buy the pin kit from lmc... cheap fix.

Re: Got A New Rig Time to Restore/Mod 78swb
You can find good beds quite often if you keep an eye out. You can also find the door pin kits at your local parts store too. Just remember all projects start somewhere. Some are rougher than others, but that just means you get to know your truck more! Just keep thinking positive, and you will make positive ground. It's hard sometimes I know, but this board is a great place for positive re-enforcement.

Re: Got A New Rig Time to Restore/Mod 78swb
There are not to many that gander at the build section, post the same question in the reg 73-87 forum and you will get a responce, there is a guy on here that slapped some 315's on the rear, in my opinion that is plenty of meat for a street set-up.

Re: Got A New Rig Time to Restore/Mod 78swb
just bolt a new floor in or a used floor. its basicly all bolted in besides a couple tack welds. i wouldnt patch a rusty floor that could be replaced. then just re seam seal it and your golden
