Keyed Fuel Line Block-Anyone have info? - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I am lookin for a source for a Keyed Fuel Line Block...Corvettes use these as a theft deterent system. You have a key...which when turned in the block... will block the gas in the line so if someone tries to steal your truck they will not go very far before they run out of fuel. Anyone with info? I have googled but no luck so far. Maybe I am using the wrong term.

Not sure I've ever heard of such a keyed fuel block. Couple theft deterrent options:

- inline fuel solenoid with a remote switch (basically a modern version of what you mentioned the old corvettes having)
- if you have an electric fuel pump, wire a kill switch
- electrical kill switch (won't be able to start the engine at all)
- brake line lock (can start engine, but can't move)

Hey we are getting closer. I have done a lot of googling and I see reference to this sort of set up but no leads. So they do exist so I will eventually find what I quest.

I finally found the one my Dad got. But I was wrong its not for the fuel it goes inline with the brakes to lock them. It is made by Hydraulic Interlock Systems in cape coral Florida 941-772-4490. Works with a key, Park then push the brake pedal turn the key and pull it out. The brakes will hold pressure so you can not even roll the vehical.

Instead of splicing into your fuel line with something that could wear out prematurely, and causing a breakdown in a place that would not be good/safe.

Have you thought about just removing the mechanical fuel pump, and then installing a quality electric fuel pump then putting a switch in to cut the power to that pump? At the same time you could also work it out in that switch to cut power to the starter?
