Addition to the family (1968)

Picked up a 1968 Chevy Stepside- 250 straight 6 -3 on the tree. Patina paint and very little rust. Bought it from a man that had it 41 years, he picked it up used in 1969 with very few miles. I think that I will probably Logo the door and maybe add a few horsepower pieces to the old six ,(headers, intake and bigger carb, possibly cam swap). In addition I also picked up a 1969 Chevy Stepside later in the week but I don't have any pics of it yet. I will post it soon.....

Re: Addition to the family (1968)

Congrats...I always wanted a '68 but got stuck with a '70 Maybe someday I can get what I want and have it all!!!

(Not that a seventy is bad...just always wanted the same year as my birth year for some crazy reason...perhaps to always have something the same age as me still running!

Nice score! That is a great platform to start with! I'd just work on it a little and drive it and enjoy it too.

Re: Addition to the family (1968)

I would do a 4/6 drop and drive the piss out of it....beat it like a redhead stepchild then if it blows do a complete LS swap in it and leave the rest alone..
