Grill mounting bracket rivets

Can anyone tell me if anyone reproduces the correct rivets for the mounting brackets to the grill shell? Or is it just as easy to use some common rivets? Thanks Ryan.

Re: Grill mounting bracket rivets

I used pop rivets on mine. Don't remember if they came with the brackets or not, but I think they did.

Re: Grill mounting bracket rivets

Thanks. I figured they would work. I am going to try to put this thing back together as nice as I can so I'd atleast see if OE style ones even existed.

The OE style rivets are still used in manufacturing. Try Grainger or McMaster Carr. The are sold by diameter and grip range and will require a tool to flare the back.

Re: Grill mounting bracket rivets

Ok thank you. I'm guessing these were like hucks any way, correct? I might just use rivets and not worry about it.

Re: Grill mounting bracket rivets

Also can try ebay. A seller from florida sells the correct type of rivet that is threaded with machine threads they look correct, but are much easier to install. Try searching rivets or stainless fasteners, sorry I dont have his info saved I just looked back. A package of 50 is $7 and shipping.
