where can i get 3 spd shifter bushings

I need all 4 shift bushings (in the arms) for my 3 on the tree trans linkage. Dont give me a rap about ahh 3spd sucks junk it. I like it, its different, no its not a high performance tranny. But its cool. I need new bushings and with a motor swap engine bay cleanup, now is a good time.

I have a catalog for classic parts of america, but last time I ordred from them i ordered mirrors, it took like 6 weeks.

Ima call tim christian in the morning Hopefully he has em (I like dealing with him )

Thanks guys! Most of the catalogs I have/looked at, dont have em.

Re: where can i get 3 spd shifter bushings

I decided to go with this rather than try and replace those bushings, it's simple to fit and allot less bulky looking, cleaner looking too.

Try Wes at Classic Heartbeat he a board vendor too.

I don't think that will work so well for a manual transmission.

My bad! didn't realise it was manual, just saw "3 on a tree" and 3spd which is the same as mine and assumed Auto.

Re: where can i get 3 spd shifter bushings

The bushings for the upper part of the shift linkage came from NAPA. (Later style A/T shift linkage bushings.) I got the lower ones from Truck Shop in Orange, California. Adjusted the slip ring on the column and it shifts great!

I made my own with metal tubing and rubber hose but someone mentioned that they have used these and they worked well.

I made mine some years back and still working good. I would have preferred buying but at the time I looked everywhere in my area and couldn't find them. I went to three dealers and no luck. I did find one in a small town auto parts store that was all plastic and passed on it.

I found the Ecklers bushings months later but not sure how they work. If you have luck with the other vendors and are satisfied with them, let us know in case some else needs them. Thnx.
