Gas gauge Question
Ok, my truck hasnt really been run much in the past couple a years, and she hasnt had a lot of gas in her at any one time either. I filled the tank when I brought it home last week, today after I should be atlease a quarter tank low, it says I have a tank and a HALF, lol. What would make my gauge go so far to the right and how do I go about fixing it?

More than likely and the easiest fix is to trace the wire from the tank to the fuse box. Usually it gets a break in the wire when it runs under that sill plate on the drivers and grounds out. If you disconnect the connection on the tank the gage should go past full with the key on. If that doesn't fix your problem then your looking at a possible ground loss at the tank or on your dash gage. The next step is checking the float requiring removal of the seat for access and checking for correct OHMS. If you do a search, there are some threads to point you in the right direction with pics.
