72 Cheyenne Super help

just bought a 72 Cheyenne Super LWB 1/2 ton 350/350, and it is missing the emblems on the side of the fenders..It has the Cheyenne Super emblem with scroll work around the word "super" on the glove box, but that is all..there arent any on the outside of the truck. What I would like to know is which emblems go on the outside of the truck...I assume that 8-350 goes on the front fender unter the marker light, but what exactly goes on the other end of hte fender...it looks like there was two that went there (one atop the other)...anyone have pics of the emblems on their cheyenne super...please post. thanks

I believe that the correct badges for you would be this "cheyenne 10" one

with this one directly underneath

hope this helps

yup did the search...I am a newbie to this board but not to forum use..thanks for the help....its great to have found this place, threres a ton of info and a TON of very cool trucks.....another question, was there any trim that went above the tailgate handle? there are holes all the way across the tailgate and on the jocky box door, did all the Super Cheyenne have wood panel or did they just have metal? mine looks like it could have either ..possibly they tore off the wood tape.

Hey gang,

Just bought my first truck, 72 Cheyenne Super, and have the same questions. Although mine has the "Super" badge on the front fenders, it doesn't have any woodgrain. How can I tell if it's a true "Super"?!? Is there a good reference book that details ALL of the various Super trim items?

Thanks to all for a great forum.

ps. good looking truck there, wreck!

On a 72 Super there was "woodgrain" vinyl on the instrument cluster, glovebox door, and door panel inserts.

There also should be Cheyenne Super Equi listed in the option list of your build sticker.
