Why do you think it's running rich? Do you see black smoke coming out the exhaust? Do you own a vacuum gauge?

No black smoke but the exhust is strong like a rich gas smell

pull a plug or to and see if it's running rich, if they are black looking or wet they are rich if they are white then they are lean.
Turn the idle mixture screws all the way in until the engine starts to stumble and back them out to get max rpm on each one. May need to do it more then once on each one. I forget which way is what right off but I think on the edelbrocks it's all the way in for rich and all the way for lean, so turning them clockwise/in makes it richer and counterclockwise/out is leaner. You need a vac. guage to do it right, or at least a tach. A vac guage is easiest, just turn them to get the most vac. and done.

Yea the two screws on the front are idle mixture screws, they'll help some. Thing is what size is it? maybe it's like a 750 or something on a stock motor and is too big. I aint sure how to tell, don't know if they got numbers or not.
yea black wet plugs would be rich, or at least carbon fouled, might want to get a new set, everyone says they can be cleaned but I never had any luck I just replaced them with another set of ac delcos. Timing advance helps burn the fuel too but you need to see where it is first.

You need a vacuum gauge. A $15 gauage does wonders on a carb.

I dont know which carb you have, the number is on the front by the mounting bolts... find your number on the list and download... its the same manuall as came with the carb new.
