drum/parking brake cable help ! ???

I took to much off now i can remember if im putting my drums and parking brake cable back together the right way. I took the whole drum assembly off the axle so i could clean and rebuild them on a bench, but did not remember which one was right or left.

If anyone has a photo of what the back side of the rear drums look like on a 1967-68 c-10 it would be helpful.

The one thing im really confused about is that the parking brake cable hole is facing the rear of the vehicle, does the cable curl under then clip to the trailing arms ?

On mine, the E brake cable enters from the front of the axle into the backing plate.
I have a few pics of mine in my profile, even though they are 3/4 ton they are still pretty much the same.

Kinda sounds like you have your backing plates reversed, since they are Right/Left side specific.

Agreed, the e-brake cable enters at the front of the backing plate. I just finished removing the brakes off my donor rearend. Sorry no pics, the brake components were mostly rusted together anyway.

Re: drum/parking brake cable help ! ???

Helpful, but do you have a picture of the back of that ?

I'm wondering if i put the left wheel cylinder in the right side and right in the left?

if i did would it make a difference other then the original brake lines meeting up in the same spot. I'm putting all new line in anyway.
