Best Carpet?
Who makes the best/nicest carpet for our trucks. I want something that fits great and is very nice and not concerned about cost. Any suggestions?

http://www.accmats.com/ That's where my carpet came from.(bought from local vendor. RestorationWorld here in Ohio) Bought some extra carpet to do the wall behind the seat,(6yrs. later) and it matched perfect. Would recommend.

I don't know which line of there carpet is faulty, or if they all are.
I bought carpet from a deal on here where we did a group purchace. I have no clue what brand it was, but the seller was talkin smack about ACC, and that was the first I heard of it. I got a roll of ACC carpet a couple years later and the quality was not as good IMO, and then someone reminded me of that blurb, so i doid a little looking around, and it seems to be not all that uncommon. I just wish i had more info to share. |

I bought a generic, replacement loop carpet from a parts vendor a couple of years ago for the White Truck . The top of it is fuzzing really bad from normal use and vacuuming... I wasn't real happy about that. I'm not sure how many different grades of carpet are available for our trucks. LockDoc

 a freind of mine put an acc carpet in his '68 f-100 & it fit like crap, he orderd it off ebay. I ordered mine from manes truck parts because i didnt want an acc , but what you know when it got here it was an acc ,to my surprise it perfct!

ACC did have a bad run of black carpet years ago...it faded. I sell a lot of it and haven't had a complaint in years. I think that was a one time problem that is fixed. Anyone have any current experience with problems? Not just "I heard" stories.
All of the aftermarket carpet sets are a "basic" grade material...not premium grade like in the new cars & trucks. That is why the cost is so low...full molded & trimmed carpet for about $150...that is cheap! |

I have the ACC stuff in the back seat area of my burb, and soon enough, the rear will be too. So we can revive this later and I'll have 100% first hand info if no one else does by then.

Premium grade like new cars and trucks is what I'm after. I know ACC has some upgrade options and the set I looked at added an additional $95 to the price for a total of almost $300 for just the carpet. That's a pretty good bit for carpet so it really needs to be nice. Add the mats and some sound deadening and you get the idea. I don't have a problem with spending money to get some nice stuff for this truck, but I do have a problem spending it and getting garbage.

I just put ACC carpet in my truck, fit was good and nicly sewn and trimmed to fit. I know, i need to vacumm it already, dang trees

They will sell different styles of carpet made for our trucks , and send samples so you can see the color and quality before you buy. I was thinking about buying a better quality carpet, but decided to get the original loop style from these guys. Imagine my surprise when the box it came in was from ACC. I suspect going upline would get something different. Anyway, the ACC stuff fit pretty good, but the tank carpet required a lot of trimming. For the money though, I am satisfied. |

Try TrimParts, very nice fit and good quality carpet. They also make a kit that the carpet goes all the way to the back of the cab for the guys that remove the inside tank. I have used them in three of my trucks and a couple of my cars with no disappointments.

I WOULD USE TRIMPARTS CARPET. ACTUALLY GM USES RECYCLED PLASTIC BOTTLES AS SOME OF THE MATERIAL IN THEIR PREMIUM CARPET NOW

I used ACC (the higher quality...they sell different types) and it looks great! You can tell the difference in color, sheen... Spend the extra for mass backing! I store my truck inside so not sure about the fading issue mentioned though. Best of luck on your search, let us know if you find something great, I would be interested. Roger

Yea, I am interested too.
I am in the market for a burb carpet kit in Aqua green, and I want this kit to be the last one I ever have to buy since a burb kit is pretty spendy.

I know what Vectorit means. I haven't done my burb but plan on it. I may go more for function though cause I have kids and such...trips to the beach...eating in it...parks...more of a driver/fun...
