Obviously I'm not great at explaining things lol. It all makes sense in my head it's getting it out thats the problem.

On all of the carb engines I have personally owned they had a breather/oil fill cap on one cover and a PVC on the other cover. Thats why I said to add a breather. IMHO I think it would be more efficient at doing the job.

If you only had a PVC on your old motor then by all means just use that. I will be the first to admit I dont know everything, and havent seen every combo that works.
