shaved firewall fuse panel help

I just got my truck parts & pieces back from paint.As soon as I get the frame done I am going to start on the cab.My problem is that after shaving the firewall I'm trying to come up with a place/way to mount the fuse panel without drilling /welding. I screwed by not welding studs prior to paint.I am thinking maybe putting it behind seat, I'm putting the battery under the bed so everything is not stock at all.I'm using a E-Z wiring harness.Any suggestions or ideas?

Good question!

As this is some-what how I plan on doing mine as well, only with the Painless Wiring Harness. I would think there is some way to hide most of the wiring under the hood either by tucking it close to the inner fender wells and Fenders. But not 100% if this would work.

I too am hoping others are out there that have done this and give us some advise how to hide the wiring and harness.

i still havent gotten to this step, still working on firewall. but i plan on having my harness under the dash. going to make a bolt in plate so that it has support. for the wires, im going to make a hole next to the cab frame rails and run them down to the back so they are not seen. for the front wires, not too sure yet but im not going to have inner fender wells. i think i might go down the frame rails and come up the rad support. btw im using painless.

Are you still planning on having the front end/engine harness come through the firewall, or are you snaking it inside the fender?
You might just mount the block up inside the kick panel area where the fresh air vent is. You could also make a bracket to mount it facing down from behind the dash.
Anywhere else will cause you to have to splice in longer wires to everything in the engine bay and the dash.

How about a fuse box mounting plate attached in desired location with body panel adhesive?

I welded a pannel in place before paint but I think you could use the doubled-
up area that I used and rivets. I came out inside the cab support in the toe board below the turndown and inside the fenders no wire's showing.

Yea,I screwed up not welding bolts before paint.I didn't think about the body adhesive,I even have a set-up at the house.I'm going to to hide as much as I can behind fender/above inner fender,I plan on running wire out both sides of cab.The A/C is going to be run similar to Big Al's with a low mount bracket.I have most of it planned out,of course things usually don't work as planned.Thanks for the ideas..............Bob

Im running the mini fuse box and have it mounted next to the passenger side of the steering column and the harness is running out a hole I drilled above the transmission tunnel...
