Re: i found my bracket

Good question. Dont think it matters.
I have a inline 6 and Im adding power steering, and the pump I bought was from a V8 (used). everything lines up. So dont think why it wouldnt work.

Some applications changed the inlet tube orientation to clear the engine differently and to point it in the right direction for the vehicle application.

That is about the only thing you have to look at if the pump fits the brackets you have.

Re: i found my bracket

i just did a test fit with my new bracket, and d*mn it if it does not fit on my 250 engine like it did on the 250 i took it off of. my 'new' bracket has one bolt hole that the alternator will mount to that lines up correctly. then the one bolt that connects to the engine near that lines up correctly. but the one that goes up above that is miles away from the engine. why can't i find the correct bracket for this thing? i'm really losing my patients with this.

Re: i found my bracket

Hrm. What does your bracket look like? I have a complete setup that i pulled on a 78 250 for sale here, and it has pictures of it: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=411608

I believe I have the bolts too for installing it, along with the old belts. Only thing missing is the Crank pulley.

If anything, the pictures might help you out.

Re: i found my bracket

Haha. Sorry. i was looking for a setup for the Non-integrated head, and didn't realize what year they switched, or the differences in them, so I grabbed this. Since I have no use for it, I decided to put it up. It's the first PS for a 6 cyl i have found that wasn't homemade.
