Re: Smallblock I.D. 327?

My info. shows 1963 Vette 327. 360 h.p., 11.25:1 compression, Fuel injected, Manual trans. Isn't this the motor you traded me for a set of tow hooks awhile back? I must have forgotten to pick it up! Sharpie

Re: Smallblock I.D. 327?

1973 Camaro or Corvette High Performance. Angled old style large plug. I think you are correct in guessing these were "over the counter" heads in general. My detailed parts books only go up to 69, so we will have to lean on the true GM parts gurus from here!

Re: Smallblock I.D. 327?

Anyone with any more info on the heads? Also, what would the other number on the front pad be for?

Quick story on the heads: came off a 350 that had a huge cam, domed pistons, and these heads. He tore it down because it never ran good on 87 octane... One piston did graze a head however...

Re: Smallblock I.D. 327?

They were found on LT-1 engines. They had 2.02/1.60" valves, 64CC combustion chambers, accessory holes, intake port volume should be 161 or 157CC's, exhaust port volume should be 62CC's. These heads have double hump casting marks. This particular casting head was also available as an "over the counter" head from GM in straight or angle plug configurations.

So could these have either size valves? (1.94 or 2.02) And did the angle plugs only come with 2.02 valves? Thanks.
