I bought my rear taillights and front running and blinkers from ClosertoWholesale on Ebay. They are TOP quality and made in Germany. Very nice.

Re: Ebay LED tail lights?

Midevil1....thanks for the info. I need to look and see if those were the ones I was looking at today.

70CST....I like those panels! Those are worth looking at

Beatcoaster....yes I wanna see those bulbs too! I have led bulbs in mine right now but they are cheap ones and I dont like them. Some of my friends have bought from SperBrightLEDs and are very pleased. I noticed they have 2 or 3 different styles to replace the 1157 style lamp, so I wanna see what you bought. Send me a message with some contact info so I can check them out
Thanks again to both of you

Re: Ebay LED tail lights?

I got these ones...

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...1156-x18-T.htm

If you look at their photo you can see the white base pcb board just above the socket, notice that it sticks out a little from the metal socket, well I had to use sandpaper and file/shrink those in a little to make them fit with our old(or maybe just mine?) style 1157 socket, but it only took a couple minutes each and they plugged right in...Each LED has 3 emitters on it(the little red dots in each LED) and are impossible to look at without a lense difracting the light - they are that bright. These are light years ahead of the old bell style emitter and even the high flux designs of a couple years ago.

Instant on and amazingly bright = style and safety for our aging rides, and for the price they are unbeatable in my opinion...

P.S. I also painted the inside of my housing with a "aluminum" rattlecan paint color, that I think helps bounce the light around in there as well.

Couple more photos of the LED truck...

Longer exposure with camera

Do you have to change out your flashers to use these?

Re: Ebay LED tail lights?

Superbrightleds has the electronic flasher to buy as well, or you will need to add a couple load resistors in order to use the old thermal flasher unit...

Can you tell us what color you used in the dash? It looks like the "cool white".

Re: Ebay LED tail lights?

It is a cool white, and I painted everything that was green inside the cluster in an 'aluminum' paint so it would reflect better and not glow so green...

Re: Ebay LED tail lights?

I love those Beatcoaster! I may have to come see yours in person since you are so close, especially those dash lights! Ive had my truck since I was 15, and that has always been my biggest complaint is the crappy dash lights.

I looked on the site and found lots of lights, but none like you pictured.
A little help, maybe an item number or a link. These would be perfect on my step side.

Re: Ebay LED tail lights?

Beatcoster,
Would it be possible to list all the lights that you ordered and the quantity of each? I think that would be something that a lot of people could use and they possibly could park the list in the FAQ section. Thanks.

He still comes on here, but I don't think he is taking orders any more. The last few took 3-4 months for him to ship.

Re: Ebay LED tail lights?

While we are on the subject of LED lights does anyone have set of the ones Dakota Digital sells. I was looking yesterday and they are 169.00 without new lenses which they recommend you install as well.

Thanks for the tip. Sequential would be cool. I'll keep you in mind when I finally decide what I'm doing. Do you have an LED kit to turn the cargo light into a 3rd. brake light?
