Talking Re: any one seen this truck

The reason Barry"69GMCForever" was asking is we took the truck out to our sponsors on the weekend and saw a lot of 67-72 Chevy/GMC's rolling out there in the lowermainland of BC.We also had it out on Monday going east on hwy 1 to Abbotsford BC to get the exhaust work done..To answer that one question above it's a 68 C10 1/2T fleetside sheet metal mated to a 1975 Chevelle 2dr coupe chassis firewall and floor that Barry "69GMC Forever"did in just a few months of a few hours here and there. Hope to see a few more of you truck guys from the Lowermainland of BC come out and see us at Agassiz speedway and up in Vernon at the Motoplex speedway and Pentiction Speedway at the end of this month.

Re: any one seen this truck

Is there a schedule somewhere I could check out. Might make it over to the mainland in september and the 2 old geezers could watch you race.

Thats petty kool. How much lead do you have in the rear to get the balance right? The why the body looks compared to the wheels looks to be nose heavy. We got the same track rules problem with a friends Pure street car, one track lets you run vortec heads and the other track doesn't.You can always run .100 dome piston with open chamber heads if the tech man don't pump or whisle the motor to check compression.OPS I let a secret out hehe

We haven't put the lead in the left rear yet, still working on the little things like tunnel for driveshaft and setup that comes Friday and yes we have the same problems up here in BC with all the different rules...We show up if they don't like what they see we either run for no points or pack it up and go home and right now I know we will not be packing up any were up here ...

Re: any one seen this truck

Go Luck with your truck. The temp. down here is suppose to be about 98degrees with 107+ heat index.I'm taking my generator with both big shop fans tomorrow night. The .060 over 388's and 400 blocks should get warm tomorrow night after the features. The motor rules for the black car is 500 holley, alumanium intake, and cast iron for the rest. The first GM production part on the motor is the flywheel we use kinda like a governer, keeping the motor from revving to quick.A pro built 414 cu engine revs like a 283 but has the torque of a big block and we are winning with the smallest motor in this class.
Good luck
