Hello guys, any help with NP208….
The engine is running, transmission is on N, and when moving to 4Lo I hear sound like the teething is not engaging. But if I turn the engine off, engage 4lo start the engine it works. Is there a problem or it is normal |

Sounds like the syncros in the front gear box are worn out.

Shamil, before shifting the transfer case out of any range, make sure you are stopped and the transmission is in park if it's an automatic. If it's a stick, put it in 2 and keep the clutch pedal on the floor. Jim

Little stuff left to do is mount winch, wet sand & buff out and build belly pan\running boards. Body work takes lots and LOTS of beer!!!! God, Guts and Guns made America and God, Guts and Guns will preserve it! The worst thing you could do is get into my sights, but that don't matter, you'll never know it, cause you'll never hear the shotJim or Paladin whichever you choose. |
