Both trucks (Pont + Mudder 67) kick ass, but I prefer the looks of the fleetside, personally.

Wanna hear why I always prefered the stepside over the fleet? I am so short I could never have reached into the tool box without something to stand on. We don't use the steps to stand on now. LOL

I am partial to step, But I love the short fleet look as well, I think they both look pretty mean. But in the eyes of the normal people (Not Classic truck Freaks like us) They tend to associate stepsides with old trucks.
One more for steps.....with a lean towards fleet.
I think as long as you find the stance you like, whether it be stock or slammed, just find you some nice wheels and your truck will look good step or fleet.

i love the classic stepsides too, but IMO any stepside after 87 looks like crap to me, it just looks like a new bed that carries less stuff and doesn't really look good.

Mudder, of course I don't mind you posting a pic of my truck. Your the reason why my truck looks like it does today. ( Remember the before pics )

I'm still around but haven't been online much in the last couple months. After installing the new tranny, t-case and clutch setup, the new throwout bearing fell apart at around 400 miles. So the tranny and t-case came back out to install new clutch parts, AGAIN! What a pain in the ass. Also, the place I worked at recently shut down so I went from DSL back to dial-up. Not much fun surfing with dial-up.

Anyway, I'm still around, just not as often.

My vote for which bed to run would be whatever makes you happy. If my truck was a stepside, I would not change it to fleet, or visa versa.

Rob

Fleetsides rule. They are much cleaner and meaner.
