Should I keep the antenea in its stock position or move it some where else?

Show me some pictures of other places to mount it, or convince me to keep it there.

I didn't want to put a hole in the cowl so I mounted mine on the bedside.

I don't like the stock position, I think I'm going to mount mine where the gas filler neck is supposed to be, when I finally get around to relocating the gas tank...

I shaved the stock hole and left the small part of the antenea ununder the cowl, looks good and the radio still works great.

I have mine strapped under the dash on my 68. Works good and is not seen at all.

I have it mounted to the back of the cab on my 67 in this picture.

I think that I'll try to hide it, I don't listen to the radio much anyway, ucually CD's. If I do need the antenea, I could always put it anywhere later.

When I get to the cab part of the restore I am putting mine in the hole on the cab for the fuel filler neck. Like Andy4639, has his done.:p

On Jenna's 71 the antenea is still in the cowl, we don't use it that much we put a satellite radio in the truck. No commercials, and lots of choices.

Radio Shack sell an antenna that is goes around the inside of your windshield. A friend had one in his truck, and swears it's better than stock. Have to work with it a little to hide it, but it's almost invisible from the outside. My $.02.

I did a hide a way antanna, got it for aviation/boats. Stuck it under the wiper cowl and filled the antanna hole. works great.

You can leave the antenea off all together and listen to the music from your engine.

After putting a stall and 4:11 gears in my truck the radio would have been a waste.

Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

GMC= Got More Class! 1970 GMC LWB, Fleetside, 350/4spd, Flowmaster "40's", 2002 GMC 16" Rallies, cowl hood,and added a bunch of options that weren't there when I started.
