Anyone know the story on those two rear fender rivets?

I've noticed some Advance-Design rear fenders have two rivets showing on the outside of the fender from the center brace, and some don't. Did this vary from year-to-year from the factory, or not?

I'm thinking it did,

Thank you,

John

not sure if it did or not. I had a 51 GMC and now have a 53 chevy both had the rivets. I ground them out and welded the brace

Yeah I might be wrong on this one, but if I am this is the most common body modification done to an A-D pickup.

The best reference is always factory photos from back in the day. I need to get over to the Truck Shop in Orange, CA. and check out their wall of photos.

Thanks for the reply!

All OEM fenders have the two rivets, the current repops have similiar rivets. If they dont have the rivets they've been welded shut...Eric
