Re: Bed mounting bolts.

I just went to the local hardware store and pick up Carriage bolts. I don't know the lengths right off, you will need 6 shorter ones and 2 longer ones. The longer ones were longer than I anticipated, but I never went back to get a longer set. I figured 6 out of 8 should hold it, and it did. The 6 short ones are probably 5-6" long as they only go through a short mount and the upper part of the frame. The longer set goes all the way through the frame.

This was on a 1/2 ton long bed, so it should be pretty close if not the same on yours. I do not know how much difference a 1 ton dually would make.

If you already have a bed mounted I would remove 1 of each length bolt and take with you. If you do not have any bolts, measure the length and diameter of the mounting holes. Add a bit to the length though so the bolts stick out far enough to tighten the nuts onto the bolts.
