Is this gonna look good?
Just imagine the panels all welded in, smoothed out and painted Brillant Metallic Silver the same main color of the truck with these gauges:
http://www.thehoffmangroup.com/auror...ls.php?gauge=2 but with black bezels and needles instead..... The truck is a '68 GMC swb, Im painting it two tone- silver with black down the middle. I got the fender wells, the hood, cowl, door and tailgate hinges, hood latch, plus alot of other small items sprayed in the brillant silver and cleared and color sanded already. It looks great! I used the 2 stage paint from Summit racing, it is great paint for the price! Im now starting to focus on the inside cab now and need to make some final decisions on which direction to go. I was planning on useing the gauges above then thought I would like to try to figure out a way to use a factory gauge set up (my p/o messed the current one all up) but Im back to thinking of useing the after market gauges above.... Or should I scrape the whole idea and just get another factory cluster? What you think? Any ideas? Thanks! Opps give me a second I forgot to download the pics from my camera...... duh... Re: Is this gonna look good?
OK - here is my idea, and it is all GM! Should fit in a three gauge panel.
Quad gauge from 70's Chevy van over steering column Speedo and Tach from 68-77 Vette in position of stock speedo and fuel gauge The Vette gauges are pretty cheap, and they have all the blinker, brake, etc. light cutouts. Ta-Da! Unique and easy. Or maybe I drink too much...

Re: Is this gonna look good?
Those gauges in that link look a little to generic for me.... looks like something you could get from autozone in the LED aisle

Re: Is this gonna look good?
Bet that guy was pretty disappointed it sold for so little. Good buy.
Looks like an S-W hour meter in the middle right gauge spot.
