55 to 58 or 59 chevy instrument cluster kinda wierd

well i bought a 55 style instrument cluster and its got the chevy v and in the window peice it says gmc and it should have a bowtie ,it will bolt or screw into any chevy dash but its for gmc kinda hard to explain pretty much itis a chevy instrument panel and insted of a bowtie it says gmc so i thibnk that is less confusing

GMC made a fleet option truck that was really different. They used the Chevrolet V Dash with the GMC logo on it.

Not sure about the fitment into a Chevrolet.

The GMC Fleet truck used a chevy cab with GMC badges. So the dash would be just like a Chevy dash and the speedo cluster should have 2 round red lenses for the signals if so equipt not the green arrows. I think the background of the Speedo was a different color than the standard chevy black, Front fenders are the same but some early hoods were different. Grille supports and grilles were different as well.

well im lookin at my instrument cluster background and its normal chevy black my dad said if he ever builds a gmc hes gonna use a chevy cab and get a gmc front end he likes chevys dash better
