i have leaf springs and need info on axle flip
Iam gona do an axle flip and c-notch on my 69 GMC swb. Has any of you done this ? It is the most affordable way I have come up with. I have done a few flips on jeeps but never a truck or to lower a vehicle before was wanting to know how much it will lower it and if theirs any other small details. Iam lookin for at least a 4 in drop more if possible. Thanks a million !

You could always weld on a set of new leaf spring saddles under the rear axle tube.
Like these from POL: http://www.performanceonline.com/196...-PAIR-RAS6787/ I think your drop will be more like a 6" drop, and may require you to notch the frame. POL also sells mono and multi leaf springs to lower your truck. http://www.performanceonline.com/196...AF-SPRING-SET/

Re: i have leaf springs and need info on axle flip
You can get a pretty good idea of the drop you will get from a flip (assuming you keep the same springs). Add the thickness of the spring + the diameter of the axle tube + 2X the height of the spring perch off the tube. The total of all this is the amount of drop you can expect.
