That amy or may not fix your problem though. Those shifters are well-known for being "sticky". They need a complete disassembly and clean-up. Reassemble with some lithium grease and you are go to go. They are way too complicated in their action for what they do. If you use it a lot, you might be ahead to look into a "twin stick" shifter to get rid of the stock unit.
