BBC frame stands????

went to install motor today i have big block frame stands and i got a set of these motor mounts from jegs for big block and small block applications its just not working out, the motor wont go down far enough to get bolts started. i seen some tubular style frame mounts awhile back on here and im wondering if i should go that route.

Re: BBC frame stands????

Feel free to check out my mounts. They make dropping the motor in so much easier!

Yes, they make the install so much easier. If you have a 67 frame, you'll have to notch it, if it's 68 or newer, they should bolt right in.

Re: BBC frame stands????

From your avatar it looks like your truck is a 67... if so, 67 frames need to be trimmed at the top for the BB stands to sit correctly.. If you have access to any trucks from 68-72 take a peek at the top frame rail where the stand bolt on and you will see the needed mod to the 67
