Sensitive steering. Need help

Has anyone ever had the issue of real sensitive steering. When I'm driving say 30 mph or faster, and I hit a rut or as we have here, miles of ruts, my truck will easily pull to one side. The dangerous part is that my steering is so "touchy" that when i try to correct it, it will sling shot me back to the other side. I've change the power steering box once and it stayed the same. Any suggestions? I have 18 in wheels, disc brakes up front and lowering springs.

Thanks

I would say that you have an alignment issue. Probably not enough caster in the first place and likely some toe-out to make it worse.

It sounds like your caster is way off. Little or no caster will exhibit symptoms very close to what you're seeing. I like a lot of caster because it makes the vehicle track down the road better and you're not constantly trying to bring it back on center all the time.

unless you have an alignment rack, you cannot correct it. You will have to take it and get your truck aligned by someone.

I agree that its alignment. Mine was fine before i cut the springs, now it follows the road everywhere and especially patch jobs. My problem is I now have negative camber (tires are pointing inward). Look at your tires and see if they're tilted in or see if the tread is worn down on the inside.
