a/c and delay wipers repaired !!!!

Got tired of waiting on Cheyenne PU Parts and their back order Bull Sh!t for my heater /ac control unit. Cancelled and got one at at my door the next day from LMC . Also Cheyennes door pull strap was crap. Holes not punched center. Had to modify. End caps OK . Installed heater a/c control. ( GM could have made cables and hoses longer but all went well.) Installed new wiper delay module also from LMC but with a slightly chewed case from my dog. Stupid dog. So all is well again. Truck not sick and just in time for summer. Now on to next project. New lock actuators and switches driver side !!

I'm dying without a/c! It almost touched 100 today! I'm hopefully getting fixed next month. After I get all my tire and a/c stuff squared away, I'll be free to spend it on the exhaust. Dog? Nice! My dog just lays there . . .

My dog has a terrible habit to using my tires as a place to mark his territory... lol He did so the day I got it and it had be all freaked out becuase I couldn't figure out what the heck that yellow stuff was pooled around my tire, then I realized that the dog was looking rather relieved...

Pkbinplano, I had one of those Cheyenne Pick-up Parts catalogs & was thinking of ordering some stuff from them . . .... I guess I won't get anything from them unless I can pick it up in person.

Unhappy

Sometimes I think these Chevy/GMC parts vendors only keep one piece on hand at a time. Even LMC and ChevyDuty have their backorders too. They don't want to stock too much for fear that it will sit on the shelves too long and not make money.

Glad to see you get it all going Paul. I'm jealous for sure with you having the AC hooked up. That's on my list as well to get done.

AC, what's that feel like? Glad you got everything together!

I have only ordered from LMC once and was happy with them. Haven't tried any of the others yet. Classic Industries looks like they have some good stuff and so does Chevy Duty. Chevy Duty seems to have the best prices.

Hey Pkbinplano

Where did you say you got the wiper delay switch? You have a website you can post? Was it difficult to put in? I need one!

Up to 82 the wiper switch was on the dash and I think takes a different intermittent module. I got mine for my 82 through my local GM dealership.
pkbinplano,
Yea, I like it to be cool inside when the temps get over 80. Nothing like a cool breeze to soothe the nerves while sitting in traffic.
You also really need to watch for price gouging through some of those aftermarket places on certain items. The fold-up cupholders that LMC has in their catalog for $9.95 each can be bought at the local boaters supply place for $1.95 each. I just bought two of them for my conversion van.

Got the module from LMC www.lmctruck.com Mine is a 84 but has wiper delay module set up for an 85. Probibly a ser num break on my truck. Module was like 50 bucks. On mine it was just a module that plugs in under the dash. It wasn't the stalk I replaced.
