steering column swap
86 truck non-tilt, i want to make it tilt, have a column from my 83 parts truck. i need the wiper switch to be on the column. question is, can just take the lever from the 86's column and swap it to the 83 column, or do they mount differently?

Re: steering column swap
The Wiper set-up in the 83 is on the cluster above the light switch.. right?

Re: steering column swap
to be honest.. you might be better off trying to swap the column out for a newer one.. 84 on up,.. 84 is when they relocated the wiper switch to the column.. You might be able to put the wiper switch from the 86 to the 83 column, but your probably gonna have to run wires all the way from the switch, down the column shaft out the bottom.... all the internals for that portion of the column is different
