Thought I would show a truck I saw the other day at a job. It looked like it had a lot of rare options but im no expert on these trucks. Its a 64-66? gmc 3/4, 305 V6, power brakes, power assist steering?, dealer AC?, tach, sm420, dana 60?. The floor board had no rust, it still had the frame of the flat bed under the chevy step side bed, but the dipstick was full to the top of oily water due to the valve covers not being bolted down, and I was supprised it still had all 4 GMC hubcaps. I would get it but I have far to many projects as it is but im sure it will still be sitting there several years from now.

That factory tach is worth more than the entire truck. Snag the whole gauge cluster while you can.

And I think this is a 60-63 truck by the shape of the dash.

How much is a tach like that worth, and its a 64-66 according to the windshield right?

Yes it is a '64-'66 GMC. The GMC dashes don't interchange with the Chevy's though. Just the same, if that instrument panel is original with the tach and clock, that would be extremely rare.

Are you sure it's a 3/4 ton. It just kind of looks like a 1/2 ton to me. The GMC 1/2 tons came with Dana 44's in them. At first glance it may look like a 60?

Well you know it might be a 1/2 ton, I just assumed it was 3/4 since I couldn't see the lugs, it had a flat bed, and that was a pretty big stack of leafs for a 1/2 ton. I didn't know 1/2 tons came with dana 44s.

Sorry, but that isn't a factory tach. On a factory tach the font matches the speedo and full scale is only 5K.

correct on the clock..
also it was a fleet, the bed sides are gone, and that is the structure for them that you see..

Ok that makes since, I was wondering why it didn't have a railing around the outside.

And is that a dealer AC under the dash or is that just for the heater.

Would have been a Mark IV air conditioning unit with a York Compressor. I think!
