Removing seat belts
Need to remove all the belts.
Do I have to remove the gas tank to get the retractors off? What size socket?

Just pull the cover up, no need to take the tank out. The socket size need is size big with a breaker bar

Thanks Gee_Emm! "big" helps - Will Sears know what to sell me when I say I need the "big one"?
Your truck interior looks awesome!

Long as the stock bolts are still there, I believe it is a 3/4" or 13/16" socket. definitely use 1/2" socket set. I didn't need a breaker bar on mine, but as a kid my mom in her unknowing state bought my dad and I a 3ft long 1/2" drive rachet handle at sears. I love it.
![]() If your going to buy new tools, the standard 1/2' rachet socket set will have the socket you need.

It is 13/16 and I would use a deep socket (I used a spark plug socket) and an impact wrench makes it a lot easier!
