head unit question

Hey guys,

I'm having a problem, I bought one of the headliners that has the mounts for a head unit and four speakers what I'm trying to do is find a single DIN unit that has a 7'' monitor that controls the cd/dvd/radio that when it comes out it flips down instead of up. Does any one know were to find one?

Thanks abunch
josh

Re: head unit question

I have seen this done. I just wish I could remember where. If memory serves me right, the unit was modified, not bought. I don't imagine it would be too difficult to do, as long as the "flip" wasn't motorized. As for the screen, I have no clue how you would go about flipping the image, but I have seen this done. An easier approach would be to mount a monitor-less DVD/CD unit up there and a monitor elsewhere, or do some fiberglass work and install whatever up there. Perhaps Crutchfield could assist you with an option. Good luck!

Re: head unit question

You could build it up...err down with fiberglass to hold a double din unit like I did mine in round 2 in my signature
