Frame Almost Finished

Started building this in October 09, finally making some progress. So I thought I would start a build thread, Plan on installing motor and transmission real soon, and then it will be time for the body work. Some of the mods include power steering, rear disc brake (from captn fab) pass through exhaust and moved fuel tank to the rear. motor is a zz4 with some custom touches and the transmission is a 700r4 with 2300 stall.

Great job. It looks like you're almost ready to reassemble. How's the sheet metal coming?

Re: Frame Almost Finished

I bought the tank from Classic performance Products, it comes with nut plate strips that mount inside the frame rails real simple install. takes about an hour all together not counting fuel lines or wiring.

Man, that thing is filthy. Don't you ever clean that garage?
It's cleaner than my house.

The fuel tank is a 19gal Aluminum tank for 64-66 chevy truck, standard bed fill CPP pn# is 6372AGTBS, if you look on their ebay store occasionally they will have it on sale with all the things you need, like the aluminum fill cap, sending unit and everything you need to install plus free shipping.

Re: Starting on body work

Its has been a few months, but finally had a chance to get started on body work. Thought I would start with replacing Inner Bed Sides from Mar-K In OKC. Were very easy to install and made a big difference. Forgot about the camera until new bed sides were up to a point where I was going to weld them in, Sorry. The Previous owner at sometime in the trucks life had sprayed about 1/8 inch of undercoat on the entire inside of bed, found out that a 19 wire needle scaler will remove undercoat like crazy with no heat and no damage to the bed side at all. When I start the L/H side I will make sure and take before pictures and after.
