Flarestat wiring

Hello all. I have a quick question that maybe someone can help me with. Today at the Carlisle Truck Nationals I purchased a Flarestat model no: 105 y79. It has the original steering column plugs on the ends. I rewired my truck and installed the late model type plug the long flat one. I was wondering if anyone has installed one of these on their truck. I would like to make it plug and play but am not opposed to cut and solder. Just asking if anyone knew what would have to be done to adapt this to my plug. Could it be as easy as color matching.
Thank you
Phil

Re: Flarestat wiring

The guy wanted 150 for it. But after talking for a few minuets I got for 100. The chrome bracket is in 9/10 shape there is a little nick by the Pull script. The knob is a original three bowtie. A little pricey but I think it was worth it. He had some original clocks converted to quartz movement.

Re: Flarestat wiring

Hey Phil,

Check out this thread on the flasher switch.

Ol Curt helped me find a current production one. As Tony pointed out, it is not exactly like the original but is made in the USA using a lot of the original tooling it looks like ($44).

The instructions that came with it are attached if it helps any.
