Nephew's first attempt with real paint
We let him do it on an area that's not gonna show too much. I'm thinking he did pretty good. What do you think?

He's still working on the tailgate. He'll probably be paiting most of the truck anyway. This was just to build his confidence.

That's a great first job. I see no runs, or orange peel. You should also teach him to wet sand and buff then retake that picture.

am working on teaching him to wet sand and buff doing that on less obvious places until he gets the hang of it

Wish I could paint like that! Every time I tried to paint out here the dust would get in it.
