Type II pump on a Saginaw 800 box?
Can you use the newer GM Type II P/S pump with the older Saginaw 800 series P/S box?
Do you need to limit flow to use it?

Re: Type II pump on a Saginaw 800 box?
Heater,
I'm running a late model pump with a 69-75 steering box. Seems to work fine. I have been driving it daily for about 2 weeks. The last picture in this thread shows the pump. The pump is actually a surplus NASCAR unit with the braided lines and remote resevoir, needed to clear my frame. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...=374519&page=2 TR

Thanks, what I hoped to hear. As you can see in TR65's pictures, it makes a neat looking setup compared to the big teardrop early pumps.
