HOLY **** I think that was Shawnas uncles truck, he did the same thing with his van because Ford wouldn't do anything after the starter, fuel pump, tranny, paint, wiring and now the engine are toast. Ford Sucks

EDIT: Ok after re-reading it and you said it was last night, it's not his. but he bought his Ford 1/2 ton there and took it back for warranty work for some new brakes and found out his engine was toast along with his paint and tranny

I once heard a guy bragging about his old Ford truck. "I've been driving this truck for 20 years and never had a problem"

I told him that he had it all wrong, "You've been driving that PROBLEM for 20 years and never had a TRUCK"

I drive one every day!

and yes its a ford!!

I'm proud of my car, I really am, its my daily driver and the 1st vehicle I've owned, long before the C10 and the belair I drove this to and from everything, I still drive it..

but.........

as of 54,900 miles the 1st transmission died, 2 years ago that is.. now I'm at 75,000 miles and guess what?! transmission is in bad condition, it wantsto give out, the other day I couldn't top 40 on an on ramp for a few seconds until the transmission realized it needed to stop doing whatever it was doing.

ford refuses to fix it, tells me its "fine" or "its just picky" even "its supposed to do that" ford customer service tells me their service techs can't do anything w/o a check engine light

other than that the truck has been great to me, it gets me where I wanna go, just very slowly and with hard shaky jerking delayed shifts that are unpleasent at best

the idea of trading it in for a chevy makes me drool, but the idea of going into debt for payments when one is just getting paid off.. stops the drool from my mouth and makes it come out my eyes lol

I had a 2001 F-150 Lariat that was bought back under Florida's Lemon Law. It had been in service 5 times for a total of 41 days for a random engine stalling problem. However, I had a 98 and a 99 F-150 before that and both were excellent. I also now have a 2003 Mustang GT Convertible and it is a very good car, runs like a scalded dog. I always liked (newer) Chevy trucks ok, but Ford had more options, better colors, and were better quality on the interior. Of course none of these cars seem to be built as well as the old GMC. It was still running when I took it apart and it had sat for 7 plus years.
