Re: smooth firewall guys

summit has a mojave heater all in one unit anf flexalite units, they can be mounted all inside the truck and only have heater hoses come out the firewall. They are around a buck fifty thru summit.

Re: smooth firewall guys

i have the one from summit. it works really well, and very simple to install. only thing is the ducting from the heater doesn't match up with the original defrost ducts in the truck. if anyone has any ideas on how to mate the summit heater ducts to the originals, it'd be much appreciated.

Re: smooth firewall guys

I say use some aluminum duct tape and make it work.

ANy and heaters have defrosters, heat is heat, only the ducts in the dash for the window are called defrosters or defrost setting, any heater inside the vehicle can do the same thing if it runs long enough.

I'd find some plumbing pipes or something that can reduce down to fit the duct work hoses.
