Meguires quick wax, anyone use this on new paint?

I had my truck painted a year ago and haven't driven it much lately, just sits in the garage. Anyway, would Meguires quick wax in spray bottle work well? This would be the first wax or polish since the new paint. Have heard of 3m imperial hand glaze as a good first coat, but don't want to spend $30 on the bottle.

IMO.. on a fresh paint job I would use a high quality product as wax is cheaper than paint in most instances.

I would check with whoever painted your truck. they could recommend what type/brand of wax to use.

most of the quick wax products i've tried are good for a few days at most. i've always just used for a boost to a base quality wax job for a day at a cruisein or show

Everyone has their own choice of waxes and cleaners, but each of us has a centered point of view. I use a wierd brand that works well on my paints and over the years (new paint or not) I have good luck with it. I use Wizard's products on my black paint. I even have a couple body shops using it. I buy the stuff in bulk and that gets the prices down to a point of really cheaper than over the counter.

I read the above thread and I decided to try the Wizard products...
I purchased just ordered the "Shine Master" and "Mist-N-Shine" The people were really helpful and seemed very knowledgeable about their products. My trucks paint is about 6 months old and has never been waxed. Good Luck.

Please let me know what you think of it after you had a chance to use it. Remember once you have your paint clean, then it will stay clean if it is sealed right. The first time you use the Wizards, you will see and feel a difference in how the paint finish responds to your touch. After the appllication, the dust and the rain will be easy to remove and the finish will look a lot deeper to your eyes. If you have had your vehicle out in the weather, then a good cleaning with a clay bar may be necessary before you put the shine-master on. I usually buff my paint first to remove any contaminants then I apply the sealant with an orbital polisher. It works well by hand or with a mechanical application. The polisher just speeds things up for me.
