HELP! Rocker Panel Problems..
So, this is going to be pretty vague because I don't have pictures just to let everyone know. I had ordered a driver side rocker panel replacement section from LMC about 2 months ago and it fit PERFECT. Had everything there, nice cap on the end, just a full repair piece that was well done. It wasn't the full rocker but just the weld in straight section.
Now, I ordered the panel for the passenger side from them about 2 weeks ago. It shows up and it is a completely different manufacturer. This one has no front end cap, no weather strip seam, and doesn't go far enough to the front sill edge. This new one is also black, and the other one was bare metal. They said that they don't know any information about where the other panel came from and they tried to send me another one but it was the exact same, lame black panel. Does anyone know where I can find a well made rocker panel like the first one I described?? I'll post some pics up later if that might help but the other panel is already primered and installed. Any info on a manufacturer would be great! Thank you! P.S. Tried the Truck Shop as well and their catalog shows only the full rocker. Here is the driver side one that I welded in already. You can kinda see in the pic that this panel went and curved around the front sill area further. Here is the panel that they keep sending me.

Re: HELP! Rocker Panel Problems..
You might try these guys for one like your first rocker. I've seen some of their parts, and a couple of them were as you described, bare steel and not the black coated. I don't know how many of their parts are actually made in the USA though.

Re: HELP! Rocker Panel Problems..
Looks like you are getting the Partial rocker part #38-9043 instead of the complete rocker part#38-9049.
I have just finished installing both complete rockers L+R and they are great stampings. Good luck!

Re: HELP! Rocker Panel Problems..
Sorry, I am assuming your truck is a 60-66. If not, double check the LMC catalog for your year vehicle and confirm you bought the complete rocker.

Re: HELP! Rocker Panel Problems..
I tried calling tabco today but they were already closed (east coast). Unfortunately I wasn't exactly looking to do the whole full rocker panel, but I may have to just order one and cut what I need off of it. It sucks because if I had the exact same panel as the driver side that would be more than perfect to fix it. I already have the back of the cab and cab corners in prime and the filler blocked out so I wanted to avoid welding around those areas as much as possible.. Any other companies that might be out there?
