Re: Have you '73 up guys seen this?

It doesn't have continuity down the side, even if it was painted, notice the back of the original cab is in tact before the first extra set of doors he added, and then there is no spacing in between the doors after that. He would have either had to have no spaces at all or even spaces between all the doors to make it look right, so based on that alone, regardless of whether it was painted all the same color or not, it's FAIL.

Re: Have you '73 up guys seen this?

Looks like if they would have had a suburban and a couple of crew cabs to work with it would have come out a lot nicer looking. I'm seeing a regular cab up front, a crew cab flipped backwards and then another crew cab pointing the right direction, then an 8' bed. Having the doors opening the wrong way just makes it look funny.

But, if you had the trucks laying around, and an old C60 on a utility chassis, a free weekend and a case of beer... you know you'd do it too.

Funny you say that, if you google image "alabama limo", that photo does pop up! Maybe it is the old retired one, this looks more like the current one being used:

Re: Have you '73 up guys seen this?

International makes one of those big trucks for a lot more than this guy spent!
check the colors on the nose... its an old u-haul truck with the box removed.
Im not convinced all of those doors work...
I saw something similar at a carshow once, pulling a BIG cigarette boat. It was way less ghetto, but used a full suburban body with the rear of it missing the wheelwells and a regular cab back, then a dually longbed. It was cool- unlike this one.

Never driven anything with a long wheelbase? The longer it is, the less "teeter-totter" it is.

GM didn't build them because to the average person, it looks just like a regular Blazer. Unless your an enthusiast, you would never notice the smooth top and sloped rear window.
