If I wasn't so tight on cash right now, I'd offer to by your original wheel. I have a 13" Grant on my truck right now and I HATE it.

I like it.
In fact I LOVE it!
They're a very nice/Firm feeling wheel.
The size is perfect for my 72 with Power Steering!
I replaced the Black screws that hold on the wheel with some Chrome Grade 5 Bolts.

Re: thinking of a new steering wheel.

the problem that is most common in wheel swaps is the lack of attention to detail when hooking up the horn//grant stuff has been notorious for many many years as non beepering

I have that exact steering wheel. I like the feel of it combined with my '71 power steering.

here's the grant wheel I put on my old truck it came from jegs and was leather wrapped. loved it , that truck had a 85 blazer column in it, but I seen one in a build thread the other day on a stock column.

Re: thinking of a new steering wheel.

I have one in my truck and I love it, and the horn works fine. I plan on changing the bolts like wwotr did because mine have some surface rust starting.

Re: thinking of a new steering wheel.

I used to use the 90's era Chevy Lumina's steering wheel. Got them at the local pick n pull for about $8. Good deal on a cheap nice lookin wheel. Mine were always black with a red bowtie in the center.

Re: thinking of a new steering wheel.

I guess i'm the only one who has had a problerm keeping the horn button from popping off, I even replaced the kit with a new one and it popped off too, its just a large fiber disk that is pushed past 3 small dents or dimples, but over time ( both times) the spring tension and warpage to the disk possibly from heat has pushed the disk and horn button horn off amd that results in the horn blasting away intill ya pop the hood and unplug the wire from the horn, hell of a way to be woke up at 3am btw.. Nobody else ever had this problem? Oh i have the all black one and surface rust is a problem.
