you can move the carb bracket back but the cable may be too long and bind up. I had the same issue with my truck. the custom cable was the best fix for me.

Yours probably didn't have an unknown distributor, blown head gasket, and a carb that's leaking. My poor truck. SBC is going in soon

So How do I get more pedal? Can I just "bend" is a bit? This is my speed/power problem. Maybe the wrong bracket?

I Just bent mine the other day, i just got a pipe wrench on the top end and bend it in, it dosent take much to bend it.

So I finally got mine bent and I have to say that made a world of difference. I just killed my back tire. it actually now pulls me back in the seat when I step on her. Now I just need a long road with no cops!
