I have a 1970 frame and I am putting a 1968 radiator support on the 70 frame, which radiator mounts do I use?

The radiator support mounts on a 70 are different from a 68.

Are you using the whole 68 frontend clip or just the radiator support?

radiator supports are different from 68 to 70 intirely. depending on if you have a 3flu or 4flu makes a difference in where the radiator mounts and the retainers that hold them in place also! 4flu is wider than a 3flu.

Ok I see now, No the bushens are also different, you will need to get new ones for the 68 front clip!

That's a good ? There should be plenty of people on here who have done the front clip swap that can help. I would think you would use the 69-72 mounts because the radiator supports are the same on 67-72 except for the headlight brackets. So the difference for the core support mounts, you would think, is for the different size holes for the brackets attached to the frame. Some one who has done the swap will chime in soon enough....

Use the core mounts that correspond to the year of the frame you are using. In your case, use the 69-72 core mounts. This is your answer.

If I'm not mistaken the 67-68 bushen's are not as tall as the 69-72 bushen's.
