What size track are yall running on 1st?? Might need a little bit more gear depending on the track size! We ran a 573 gear on a half mile dirt high bank.
What type of rearend are ya running, 9" for or a 10 bolt chevy!

we run 5.14 0n 1/2 mile try oval and 6.43 on 1/4 oval with ford 9 inch I just did a gear , rpm mph conversion and it comes out to this ::::

6.43 DIFF GEAR TRANS 3speed sagnaw in 3rd gear 1 to 1 6200 RPM 73.3 MPH

5.14 DIFF GEAR TRANS 3speed sagnaw in 3rd gear 1 to 1 6200 RPM 91.3 MPH

so we run the 5.14 on 1/2 mile track and 6.43 on the 1/4 mile track . this is what most of the guys are running
