Re: what sway bar should i use for front

Depending on whatcha wanna spend...

Easiest but $ would be ECE, Around $150 everything you need

Or you can do what me and many others have done, go to junkyard Get bar from 1/2 ton or 3/4 (prerbly 3/4 because it will generallly be bigger dia.) Get everything frmo the truck (you will have to grind rivits if you want the stock hangers) then go to orielly (they carry mogg) And get the correct bushings, paint the stuff and grind 2 rivits off your truck and intall bar very easy and cheap

Bar-$30 from junkyard (i got mine from friend for 15$)

Bushings-$25 give or take

Brackets-free if you get them off the truck otherwise im not sure

heres a link

this is a HUGE upgrade for these trucks..

Re: what sway bar should i use for front

Hubscrub got it right, plus the CPP one is heavier than the stock 1/2 ton one.

One of the biggest bang for the buck improvements you can make. Wish I had done it years ago!

Out the door I was at about $125 for mine and it comes with everything, brackets, bushings, hardware etc. By the time you track down all the JY stuff and new hardware you'll be close to a better engineered one anyway.

Both Danny and Jeff from CPP are members here. I'd shoot them a PM and see what they can do for you.

Re: what sway bar should i use for front

My vote is junk yard 1-1/4" bar from a 73-87. Get the mounts with it. ~$50

Energy Suspension poly bushings -2 sets ~50 The Energy parts come with new straps and are greaseable.

Grade 8 bolts/nuts/washers ~ $10 to $15

You can see mine peeking out here. Paint is hammered silver.
