Anyone know an easy way to tell them apart, do they even make a 3 core? Thanks John

The term 2, 3, 4 core radiator really means how many rows of tubes the radiator has. Yes, a three core radiator is available and was used.
To tell the radiators apart, look at the tubes running from tank to tank. They are in rows. They made two, three and four row radiators. simply count the number of rows of tubes and you have which radiator you have.

I bought a 4-row core radiator for my '69, to replace the original 4-row core radiator. I'm thinking with a 383 and 4-wheel drive (gonna make some slow runs), that a 4-row core unit would be almost mandetory. My truck has AC. Does yours? That would add to the need.

I am running a 3 core radiator in my '71 with a 454, manual transmission and no a/c and it keeps the engine real cool.

If I had air conditioning I would definitely go with a 4 core with the setup in my truck.

I looked inside the cap and there are 4 rows so I'm good. Thanks for the replies. John
